He was displaced during the LA fires and was being fostered by a young woman who ultimately left him with someone and never returned. Despite that instability, Benny has proven to be a resilient, sweet-natured dog who is ready for a fresh start.<br/><br/>In the home, Benny is an easy companion. He is crate trained, mostly house trained, and settles well when left alone. He enjoys a relaxed daily routine—lounging in the house, going for walks, and ending the day with cozy couch time. He rides well in the car and walks nicely on leash.<br/><br/>Benny has been neutral with other dogs and has done well around cats, making him a potential fit for a home with other pets.<br/><br/>Once Benny knows you he enjoys being close to you, but like many dogs, he can feel a bit overwhelmed by young children. For this reason, his ideal home would be with children over 10 who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs, or an adult-only home.<br/><br/>Overall, Benny is a gentle, loving dog who will thrive in a patient home that offers consistency and kindness. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days.
