Meet Benny, the Lab mix with a heart full of playfulness, brains, and curiosity! This charming pup is ready to turn every moment into a delightful adventure. If you're looking for a smart, playful companion, Benny is the one for you
Benny should do well in a home with resident dogs, he prefers bigger dogs but should be fine with smaller dogs that can respect his space.
Benny would prefer a home without cats.
If you're considering adding Benny to your family, you'll be happy to know that he's great with kids who are 5 years old and older and love to play.

Polite. Excited. Curious. Gentle. Sweet. Loving.
Benny has been on many Doggy Day Outs away from the shelter during his time here. He has been on walks, hikes, trips to the pet store, through the coffee drive-through and more. He is always so excited to go and reminds staff here at the shelter of either a kangaroo or a deer with his happy hops and frolics on his way out the door. He has done so well each time and picked out lots of toys to take to his new home. Each and every volunteer that has spent time with Benny has had nothing but excellent things to say about him.

“He did so good! Super laid back when with me and in the car. Slightly reactive when we saw another dog but not bad. Does very good when seeing other people. He was just very curious, excited and happy. Very well behaved.”
“Benny did great. He loved sticking his head out of the car window. He devoured his pup cup and got lots of pets.”
"Loves car rides and walks, very affectionate and playful, a great dog."
