Meet Benny
Meet Benny! We think he was born around November 2020 and he weighs about 25 lbs. He was found as a stray in Texas dragging his rear end after being shot in the back. He is a sweet young dog who has a great zest for life.
Benny is fully rear paralyzed and needs his bladder expressed, but that is very easy to do. He wears belly bands and pajamas to help protect his rear legs from getting sores from rubbing on the floor. If kept on a routine schedule his poops are fairly predictable and easy to manage. Caring for a paralyzed pup does have its challenges, but it is very rewarding and fulfilling to see the joy in his eyes and the pep in his “step”.
Benny likes other dogs and would enjoy a canine companion to chase and wrestle with. He also has done well with kids. Benny’s adoption donation of $200 helps cover the cost of his medical care. His adoption fee does include his cart, but he has yet to really get the hang of it.
Application, reference checks, and home visit required. For more information on adopting, please email us at info@perfectpooches.org.
If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.perfectpooches.org under the Adoption Process tab. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, heartworm tested (age appropriate), fecal tested and/or dewormed, and microchipped.
