Bennett's Story
BENNETT is a lover of a long haired husky mix. He adores humans and playful dogs. He is 5 years old and 58 pounds. Everyone who meets him falls in love with his joyful, loving personality.

He is fostered in Lake Oswego, Oregon and we will meet folks with screened applications part way if you live far away.

Bennett is house trained, leash trained, and knows lots of training cues. He loves to run free, to cuddle and to play with toys, dogs and humans. He enjoys car rides. He currently is visited by a neighborhood cat that loves him, and he is curious, but playful and friendly with the cat.

This handsome guy spent the first 5 years of his life chained to a tree. You would never know it now. He has just graduated from training camp, where he learned indoor manners and got his first chance to run free, play with another dog, walk in the woods, take a dip in a creek and wallow in a horse trough. He was in heaven.

Bennett is active and given his past, we want for him to be able to run free within a fenced area or on acreage, and to enjoy activity and a cozy home. At his "training camp, he was on 20 acres and ran around happily, never looking for a way out.

Bennett can live with other big dogs, with smaller medium sized dogs and he has been good with a neighborhood cat.

He is not vocal, nor an escapist as many of his breed can be. He is a great dog who really deserves an opportunity to make up for all he’s missed out on in his first 5 years.

Bennett is neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed, flea & tick treated and micro-chipped. He is on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is 300.

A great home for Bennett and his must haves include:

1. An owned home with a full size and securely fenced yard or acreage where Bennett can run.

2. Adopters who have rescue AND ideally, northern breed experience, or who have researched the breed well. Folks who understand the maintenance needs of a long haired husky.

3. Folks who consider their pets as family members.

4. Adopter who are keen to have a super nice and beautiful boy as a family member.

If you meet ALL the above criteria, please either inquire or apply.

To inquire, please email: awoofovermyhead@gmail.com with "Bennett" in the subject line.
