Benji

Benji was found in a city shelter in Rochester, NY. He and his housemate were wandering the streets and were picked up.

His housemate was able to go to the adoption floor but Benji was rejected for a home because he was not health perfect. He has dry eye and all the shelters give the ones that need help to rescue. As you know, city shelters can not turn anyone down for adoption and a majority of the people standing in line don't know what a vet is.

So here we are. We are 4 years old and will be neutered by end of November by Duffy's Friends. He has had two vets look at him and he needs eye drops for the rest of his life for dry eye. Because he had a HORRIBLE first owner, one of his eyes may not have vision but the other one is savable and he can see.

He walks on a flexy leash and walks ahead of you so he can see very well. He rides good in a car if you attach a seatbelt or use a crate. He likes to be on your lap.

He is housebroken but should be crated when you leave. He loves other dogs and does not bother cats at all.

He is loving and very quiet in the home, he likes to sit by you while you are watching TV.

He is a great little dog but will need eye drops daily. The cost is $60.00 per month and a vet can write you a prescription to your favorite pharmacy.

He is sweet and would be great for a person who would like a dog that is easy to live with just needs eye drops.

Long live our Benji - please apply on our website and he can go to an apartment and does not need a fenced yard. He loves to play with other dogs outside in a fenced yard but if he can't have one, so be it.

Duffy's Friends is a 501c3 registered Charity in NY State and our Shelter is ID number is 0014 for NY State.

Donation request is $200.00.for a poor little boy who needs a home.
