Benjamin's Story

Meet Benjamin, the quietest little fellow in his lively Doxi-mix family, and perhaps the one most likely to sneak quietly into your heart before you even realize it. With his sweet, cuddly nature and an irresistibly adorable overbite, Benjamin has a way of making himself unforgettable without ever needing to be the center of attention. He's the sort of puppy who is perfectly content to curl up close, soak up some affection, and let his siblings handle the mischief.

About 8 weeks old, Benjamin is a low-riding little guy, believed to be a Dachshund mix—possibly a "Chiweenie"—and he has a few special details that make him entirely his own. Maybe 50 lbs. when full grown, his spotted coat gives him a wonderfully unique look, while his beautiful green eyes, just like his mamas, are nearly impossible to resist. Gentle, sweet, and wonderfully cuddly, Benjamin may be the quietest of the bunch, but he has a feeling that once he chooses you, hell have plenty to say with his eyes—and his heart.

Interested in meeting this dog?
Visit our website (https://www.sccrescue.org/) to fill out an application and to find out where this dog may be shown this weekend.

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dogs' individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog.

Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don't know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.

Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area.
