Ben's Story

Ben came to us from a community member who was overwhelmed with pups. He is shy at first but once he trusts you, he's your little shadow. Very affectionate and playful.
He does need someone who will be patient with him as he learns a much bigger world than what he has been exposed to in his 1.5 years of life.
Weighing in at under 15lbs, this little guy does well with other pups. He is learning that being in a house has some rules and he anxiously wants to please his humans. He is in the process of getting up to date on vaccines and neutered. He is ready to go to his forever home as a foster to adopt while we get him ready for a full adoption. Having another pup in the house will add to Ben gaining confidence. Small children may be scary for him, so older children would be better.
**Local to New Hanover/Brunswick counties only as a foster to adopt

Freedom Bridge Animal Rescue NC, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
All fosters and adopters are screened to include a vet check and home check prior to placing any pup. We often have pre-adoption events where potential adopters can meet the pups. IF they find a pup they are interested in, an application is completed along with the checks noted above. We bring the pup over and help with any meet and greets as needed, along with supplies for a week as we offer a one week trial prior to needing to commit. IF the pup is not ready yet (e.g. more vaccines, altering, etc) the pup can go as a foster to adopt during which time that pup is still under our ownership until all has been completed.
