Our Mission
Our Mission is to serve, advocate, and be the voice for the underprivileged and abandoned animals awaiting forever homes in shelters throughout New Hanover County and surrounding counties as we are able.
We are committed to helping at risk animals in need from shelters due to over population and medical needs. We are a volunteer-driven 501(c)3 organization dedicated to restoring the animals under our care to physical and emotional health as they await placement in loving, responsible homes and/or other rescues. We are dedicated to providing a safe haven for neglected, abandoned, or abused animals and promote compassionate and humane treatment for all animals.
Adoption Policy
All fosters and adopters are screened to include a vet check and home check prior to placing any pup.
We often have pre-adoption events where potential adopters can meet the pups. IF they find a pup they are interested in, an application is completed along with the checks noted above.
We bring the pup over and help with any meet and greets as needed, along with supplies for a week as we offer a one week trial prior to needing to commit.
IF the pup is not ready yet (e.g. more vaccines, altering, etc) the pup can go as a foster to adopt during which time that pup is still under our ownership until all has been completed.
