Belle's Story

**NEEDS ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME**

The first thing you will notice about Belle is that she. is. cute. CUTE!

We want to make sure that you know more about her than just her looks! Belle is a 2 year old yorkie/pom mix (our best guess) who was picked up as a stray. She had clearly lived in a home before and had been given a LOT of attention! Belle is nervous without another confident dog in the home; anyone applying to adopt Belle should have another small or medium dog who would like a friend. Belle loves to play with another dog and cuddle, or just hang out. This does not apply to cats, as she thinks she should just chase them. She's also housetrained but please give her a little time to get used to the new layout of her new home. Belle will need the occasional groom, but she loves getting a bath and to be brushed.

Belle also thinks that being with people (and kids!) is amazing. If you are human, have a lap she can sit on, and can give her A LOT of attention, you are her favorite! This also means that when you leave, she will bark a bit. Having another dog with her lessens this reaction. Belle will give a bark when meeting new people but also turns into a wiggly lovebug after an initial barky greeting. We don't recommend apartments or living situations with shared walls with Belle.

Belle would love a fenced yard and a family that would help her with her reactions to people and animals when on leash (you guessed it, she barks!). Oh and also some leash walking refreshers as she is a little zig-zag and all over the place when walking. A family that is home more than away would be really great for her. Do you work remotely and have another dog? Belle is interested in meeting you!

Belle's foster home says she deserves the best home ever, she's so sweet and loving! If that's you, please fill out an application and meet this gal!
