Bella's Story

Meet Bella

Looking for a walking buddy by day and a couch companion by night? Bella may be your perfect match!

At 7 to 8 years young, this beautiful 73-pound Malamute/German Shepherd mix has traded puppy chaos for the finer things in life: leisurely strolls, spa-quality brushing sessions, and finding the comfiest spot in the house for an afternoon nap.

Bella is a sweet, gentle soul who enjoys getting out for walks and taking in the sights and smells of the world around her. On warmer days, you might even catch her cooling off with a casual stroll through the shelter's splash pad. She's not trying to make a splash, she just likes to keep things interesting!

Like many distinguished ladies, Bella has a few creaks and groans in her hips, so she'd love a family willing to provide daily joint supplements and, most importantly, a soft couch worthy of her royal status.

Bella would do best in a home without young children. She may be able to share her kingdom with another calm, respectful dog who understands that she's past the age of wrestling matches and parkour competitions. Her opinion on cats is still a mystery.

If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart, soulful eyes, and plenty of love left to give, Bella is waiting to meet you.

If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list.

The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.
