Bella's Story

Bella is a beautiful white and tan 4-year-old full breed Chihuahua looking for a loving forever home. She weighs 12 pounds and is spayed, healthy, and up to date on all vaccinations, with veterinary records available.

Bella is a sweet, gentle soul who has so much love to give. She enjoys playing with squeaky toys, chewing on her favorite bones, earning treats, and curling up in a soft, cozy bed. She has an independent side but absolutely loves affection and being close to the people she trusts.

She is both potty trained to go outside and puppy pad trained, making her an easy companion for a variety of households.

Bella is shy and nervous around strangers, during vet visits, and on car rides. However, once she has time to settle into a new environment, she relaxes and does wonderfully. She simply needs someone who understands that building trust takes a little patience.

Bella has done well with friendly dogs and likes her space at first with them. We believe she would truly thrive as the only dog in a calm, loving home where she can be the center of attention and feel safe, but could share a home with other dogs who were also ambivalent toward dogs in the house.

Although Bella has never been crate trained, she has been boarded at the veterinary clinic without any issues. The veterinary staff always describe her as a very sweet and well-behaved girl.

A quieter home with adults or older children may be the best fit.

Bella is ready to find the forever home she's been waiting for.
