Bella's Story
10/30/25-
Foster to adopt home needed!

We would like to reintroduce everyone to Bella! This 5 year old Boston Terrier mix came to us from a not so good place in Oswego County. Despite her age, she is still very active and would love an activity partner, companion and soul mate. Despite being theough a lot so far in her 5 years, she does't let it get her down. she takes a few minutes to warm up, then turns on the charm. With a smile on her face, and pounce in her step she will elicits pets and attention she likely lacked for a long time before. At just 20#, she is the perfect size for traveling and seems to be ready to go, go go!!!

Bella has been settling in to boarding over the past month, but she would really like a permanant home of her own. She does need some work on housebreaking, and being reminded not to pull on the leash but she is overall a lovely dog.

Due to her small size and situation, foster to adopt requirements are:

•Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY.
•Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
•Being able to bring her back to our vets office in Adams for continued vet care if needed prior to adoption. After adoption, we recommend taking her to your current vet to be established.
•Bella can be dog selective (She likes all the attention to be hers) so a home all to her self would be best.
•Homes with children over 10 years old should be ok due to her current small size and energy levels.
•Willing to have current family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match.
•Having time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.

An adoption donation of $450 is being asked for Bella if you choose to adopt, but fostering is free. She had her initial vet check, is current on vaccines and flea/tick preventative, and she has been spayed.

Please help us to continue helping those that knock on our doors!

To apply to foster to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/pet-adoption-application-form

9/12/25

Foster or Foster to adopt home needed!

Bella is a 5 yr ~15# Boston Terrier mix that is very scared right now. She could really use a foster to get her out of boarding so she can decompress a bit and start on her journey to heal. Her flea infeastation has left her fur a bit thin and she does need some extra TLC to help her skin, heart and soul heal from previous neglect. She has been examined, vaccinated, 4dx tested and treated for external parasites. She has already been spayed and is ready to go to a foster or foster to adopt home now!

Due to her size, activity level and age, foster to adopt requirements are:

-Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY.
-Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
-Being able to bring her back to our vets office in Adams for additional care and spay prior to adoption (if not already done). After adoption, we recommend taking her to your current vet to be established.
-She is very shy so homes with older children, if any, are being recommended.
- She came from a home that had other pets so she should be okay with like sized dogs but we will do meet and greets with other dogs from the potential adopters home to be sure there are no problems.
-Willing to have current family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match.
-Having time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.
-An adoption donation of $450 is being asked for Bella if you choose to adopt, but fostering is free. She had her initial vet check, is current on vaccines, dewormings and prescription flea and tick medications and she has been spayed.

The first step in our adoption process is the veterinary reference check so please be sure to call your veterinarian's office first thing in the morning so we can get this step out of the way.

Please help us to continue helping those that knock on our doors!

To foster to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/pet-adoption-application-form

To foster ONLY: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/foster-application--acbs

--------------
Foster to adopt homes are limited to an 80 mile radius of Adams, NY and pets must be taken to our vets office for care until adoption.

All pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption; animals will not be shipped to their new homes. Dogs in the home must come to the meet and greet as well to be sure they will get along with the new pet. Veterinary reference check and adoption donation also required.
