Bella's Story

Bella is an incredibly sweet and affectionate 80 lb 2.5 yo Husky mix. She loves to use her mouth to show affection. She greets me every morning by putting my arm gently in her mouth and then licking me. It is the sweetest thing. She loves people and does the same to visitors, but not all of them find it as charming as I do. She is cuddly and used to sleeping with me. She loves other dogs and is very friendly and playful. She grew up with another dog and needs another dog in the house to live her happiest life. She takes herself out of the dog door into the backyard to go to the bathroom. She has no barking issues. She is well-behaved and listens attentively. She runs free at the unfenced dog park and returns immediately when called. She is trained to stop at every corner and not cross the street until called. She has no allergies.

She gets excited about squirrels and cats. She has never lived with a cat, but is very curious about them. I'm not sure how well she would do with one in the household. She is a sweet, sensitive girl, and needs to be loved, and treated and spoken to gently. She is afraid of fireworks. She is also afraid of young children under 12 (not babies or infants), but not at all aggressive toward them.

She may be one of the sweetest pups you'll ever meet and she deserves the best home filled with love and another dog and preferably space outside to play. Bella is currently near Portland, OR, she is spayed and current on her shots.

Please email nwsnowdogrescue@aol.com for an application.
IMPORTANT: Please note this is a courtesy listing NWSR has not evaluated this dog in person and any information is information provided by the owner/other rescue. Bella is from NW Snowdog Rescue

[Deer Park, WA]

Our Mission
NW Snowdog Rescue was formed, effective July 1, 2014 for several reasons: Over the last 2-3 years practically all the Siberian Husky rescues in the NW either closed down or scaled back (due to age) or went on hiatus (due to family situations). So some longtime volunteers felt that something needed to be done to fill the gap...
