Becky(ADOPTED!) Hound & Boxer Mix Chicago, IL

**BECKY HAS BEEN ADOPTED!** Becky is an adorable, outgoing, energetic, and very affectionate 1-year-old, 45-pound female Hound mix (possibly with Boxer?) in need of a loving and active family! Becky came to Pal's Place in late November 2020 from an overburdened, high-intake, animal control facility in rural Kentucky. Shortly after her arrival (and just a week before her spay appointment!), Becky started showing shows of being pregnant and on 12/21/20 Becky gave birth to 7 perfect little pups! She has been an absolutely wonderful and doting mother but her pups have all found their homes and she is also now looking for her happily ever after. Becky loves, loves, loves people, and is extremely affectionate and social. She is very much a puppy herself, active and very playful. She is no couch-potato and loves being kept busy. Her ideal family would be one that is active like her and looking for a dog to enjoy the world with them. She would be an excellent running or hiking companion. Like many young dogs, Becky can still be jumpy and bouncy in her greetings. We are hoping to find a family that can help her work on her manners a bit. Once Becky has had her exercise for the day, she is happy to cuddle up on the couch with her favorite people. She is generally quiet but can be quite vocal when crated or when excited. She does have the loud, melodious, bay that hounds are famous for! Because of this, we are recommending a single-family home environment for her. In a condo or apartment setting her singing might not be appreciated by the neighbors. We have also learned that this athletic girl can also easily scale a chain-link fence, so a 6-foot privacy fence or a family that can commit to leash-walking her is required. Becky is being fostered with several other dogs and gets along well with all of her housemates. She is crate trained and does very well with her housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. Becky is now spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee to the rescue is $375. Becky is in a foster home and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been received and approved.
