Beau's Story

1 1/2-2 years old
18 pounds
Adoption fee: $500

Meet Beau, a lovable, snuggly and happy-go-lucky dude. After arriving at the shelter in poor shape, Beau joined the rescue where he’s spent the past few months getting well and fully vetted. His adoption fee is higher than usual to help us pay down some of his vet bills.

Beau is a very curious dude. He loves the other dogs in his house and gets everyone riled up several times a day so that all may chase him. He loves to play fetch and pulls all the dog toys out of the basket for all to admire. Neat freaks need not apply 😆.

Beau needs an active home, ideally with another playful dog. He’d likely be great dog to head to the breweries or kids’ sporting events as he’s a social guy. He walks well on leash but prefers to take his sweet time rather than go at an active pace…he’s a bully and stubborn.

While Beau is 99.9% housetrained (crate-trained when the family is away from the house), he will occasionally sneak off to the kids’ game room and leave a gift. When he’s being monitored and offered regular trips outside for potty breaks, he’ll go many days without an accident though! He also finds trash can contents fascinating as well as kids’ socks.

In his downtime, Beau likes to be held like a baby and just snuggle near his humans. He sleeps on the foot of his foster parents’ bed and doesn’t wake until morning. He enjoys the 11, 13, and 15 yr old in the house. They’re great snugglers and great at throwing toys to fetch. His foster mom works from home, and he’d likely be happiest with a work from home setup as he really is a Velcro guy looking for his people.
