Meet Beatrice (Bea)

If Bea’s adorable underbite doesn’t draw you in, her bubbly personality sure will! Bea is a young Rottweiler, almost 2 years old, ready to become part of a family.

Simply put, Bea exudes happiness. She adores meeting new people, no matter who you are. If you have a couple treats and provide her with some back scratches while she leans on you, she’ll quickly become your new best friend. Bea even loves trips to the vet because she gets to be the center of attention!

Besides being a social butterfly, Bea’s other favorite activities are going on plentiful walks, riding in cars, and playing with her favorite stuffies. But above all, she adores being with her humans. Physical touch is Bea’s love language, even over treats or toys. She’s an extra large velcro dog.

Bea is potty trained, leash trained (with excellent manners), and does well with baths/grooming. From what we’ve been able to find out about her prior family, Bea did live with dogs in the past. Here at the shelter she hasn’t been keen on meeting canine friends, but it’s definitely possible that her interactions are affected by kennel environment stressors.

As a strong young dog who’s loyal to her person, Bea would thrive with someone who has breed experience. At the very least her adopter must be willing to continue basic training skills, meet her daily exercise needs, and be near her frequently. Bea experiences separation anxiety, so she finds great comfort when she’s close to her trusted human.

Bea loved her time in her second foster home, and she’s eager to live the calm home life once again. If you’re looking for a loyal life companion, Bea is up to the task.
