Bear - NC's Story
Bear is the perfect snuggle buddy. He's being fostered in North Carolina.

He loves nothing more than to be snuggled up next to you. At almost a year old, he has lots of energy to romp and play. While he loves his stuffies, they don't stand much of a chance after he's gotten ahold of them. His favorite part is dissecting each beast to get to the squeak!

A fenced yard will allow him to go outside, but one of Bear's favorite things is long walks every day. He's a sweeper; moving from left to right with his nose 2 centimeters off the ground.

Bear eats well and, if there is another dog in the house, is very interested in what everyone else is having for dinner. We don't give him snacks from the table or leftover nibbles, so he isn't a beggar.

While he has made great progress on housetraining, he is still working on his manners. We've been using a belly band, but he is most often dry these days. Bear is very good in his kennel and willingly enters when told to "kennel up."

He is an absolute gem with children — our grands are 2 years old to 7 years old — and he gets along with other animals as well.

Bear would definitely thrive in a house with another dog who understands the house rules. He will will require a home with a small, young, friendly resident dog already in place. There are no exceptions to this.

This fluff is one of the gentlest we've ever fostered, and we hate to see him go. But we know that he'll bring so much joy to someone. Could that person be you?

Bear is located in North Carolina.

Donations are greatly appreciated for his care.
