Bear, an exuberant 5yr old lab mix, eagerly seeks his forever home in New England or the Midwest. His shiny black coat has a narrow white stripe on his chest and is nearly shed-free. He immediately settled into a routine and made himself comfortable in his foster home.

This handsome boy weighs 57lbs, is house-trained, neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations and prevention. He is a gentle and affectionate pal who loves exploring and zoomies in the backyard. Bear walks well on leash but will thrive with additional training. He gets excited and can pull, so he’ll benefit from regular walks and coaching. He enjoys walks and has completed several 5+ mile walks with his foster dad.

Bear is great with new people in his foster home, as well as canine friends he has met. He enjoys going to work with his foster dad and visiting everyone at their desks. He loves company meetings where he can roam under the table from person to person for ear rubs. He also enjoys play dates, which leads us to believe he would do well in a home with a canine brother or sister to keep him company. Bear’s deep brown eyes sparkle with curiosity and kindness. His affectionate nature extends to car rides, where he transitions from an alert co-pilot on short trips to a tranquil napper on longer journeys.

Bear enjoys watching for squirrels and birds in the backyard. He will jump up and wrap his arms around you for a hug. Bear is crate trained and may seek his crate independently, but he would ultimately prefer to snuggle in bed with his humans at night. His foster parents crate him when leaving him home alone.

Bear’s ideal home would be active with adults or families with teenagers, where he can continue to thrive and grow. This sweet and loving boy dreams of finding his very own forever home, where he can show his loyalty, shower his humans with kisses, and curl up for cozy naps.
