Bear Retriever Mix Chambersburg, PA

At the Beginning of December 2023, we had 12 dogs surrendered to the shelter after their owner had passed away. This group of pups lived their whole lives in barn stalls until they arrived at the shelter. They were all dirty and very scared when they arrived. They all needed some time to learn that the outside world is not as scary as it seems, and they have all made leaps and bounds adjusting to shelter life. These guys as far as we know, have never lived in a house and will need time to adjust to one. They will need homes that have the patience to work with them with new situations and help them blossom! They are all really sweet pups with the potential to be wonderful companions!

Bear is a friendly, but shy guy that will need someone that can work with him on his insecurities, he may never be the bravest guy, but he will certainly become your best friend! He loves getting his head rubbed and enjoys getting treats! Bear is the second oldest of the group at 6 years old. He would love to find out what it means to have a loving forever home! He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/Lyme tested, and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter.
