Bear's Story

Our sweet Bear is approximately 6-year-old brown and white Husky Shiba Inu Mix. Very special, smaller size, talkative boy.
Originally he was one of the longest residents at SEAACA, as the days turned into weeks and then months, Bear began to shut down, his spirit fading as he lost hope that anyone would come for him. Just minutes before his time was up, he got his second chance, and we couldn’t be more grateful that he did.
When Bear first arrived to safety, he was scared, quiet, and unsure of the world around him. But slowly, with patience and love, he began to open up.
Bear thrives in calm environments, he loves to just lay down and relax, but he also does wonderfully with other dogs who have a relaxed, steady energy. He loves to play with other dogs and does well on walks.
We always note slow introduction with other dogs, to build that calm first impression.
So far we did not confirm that Bear is cat friendly.
Bear is looking for a patient, loving home, where he can continue to heal and feel safe. He may take time to trust, but once he does, you’ll see just how special he is, a truly gentle soul, who will love you deeply and quietly, in the way only rescued dogs know how.
