Beans's Story
Breed: Dachshund/Corgi Mix
Color: Tan
Age: 2 ½ years old
Gender: Spayed female
Size: Small, 22 pounds
House-trained: Yes,
Crate trained: Yes, but does not like the Crate
Good with Kids: 8+
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Yes

BIOGRAPHY

Meet Beans!
Beans is an incredibly sweet and happy little girl. She came from a shelter in New York, where she was surrendered along with her puppies. Before arriving at the shelter, she experienced two previous homes that did not work out, which has left her understandably cautious and a bit fearful when meeting new people.

When first introduced to someone new, Beans may bark, growl, or keep her distance. She will thrive in a patient, understanding home that can give her the time and space she needs to feel safe and decompress. Once she becomes comfortable, her true personality shines—she is playful, affectionate, and full of joy.

Beans would do wonderfully in a home with another playful dog, as she loves early morning zoomies, outdoor playtime, and long walks. She also adores cuddling and spending time with her people. She enjoys sleeping in bed and, fair warning, can be quite the bed hog!

She is currently working on her leash skills and will benefit from continued training and consistency. Beans is a smart girl and quickly picked up how to use the doggy door within her second week in foster care.

Beans is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and heartworm negative. She is being fostered in York, PA and is available for an adoption fee of $400.00. Please submit adoption application via the following website: www.sophiasgracefoundation.org
