Beans's Story

Meet Beans!

Beans is a 6 year old Dachshund weighing approximately 78 pounds. This handsome little guy may be small in size, but he has a big heart and an even bigger personality. Beans came to rescue after spending his entire life as a breeders stud dog. Sadly, he never had the opportunity to experience life as a beloved family pet, so many everyday comforts and experiences are still new to him. Despite his past, Beans is embracing his second chance and learning just how wonderful life can be.

Because of his background, Beans can be a little shy when meeting new people and adjusting to new situations. He will need a patient family willing to give him the time and understanding he deserves. Once he feels safe and builds trust, his sweet personality truly shines. He forms strong bonds with his people and quickly becomes a devoted little companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side.

Beans loves the simple things in lifesoft blankets, cozy naps, and spending time with the people he loves. He is crate trained and sleeps quietly in his crate every night. He is also doing very well with house training and learning to go potty outside. Like any dog adjusting to a new home, he may need some time to settle into a routine, but he has already shown that he is eager to learn and thrives with consistency.

Beans gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions around. He especially prefers female dogs or easygoing male dogs and would do best in a home without a dominant male dog. While he enjoys the company of other dogs, his favorite thing is being close to his person. Once he bonds, he wants to be your little shadow, your cuddle buddy, and your best friend all rolled into one.

Beans is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will receive his health certificate prior to adoption. If youre looking for a loyal companion and are willing to give a deserving dog the patience and love he needs to blossom, Beans may be the perfect addition to your family.

https://www.livefreerescue.com/adoption-application

**We cant adopt to MA residents**
