Meet Bayside

Bayside's motto is "play hard, cuddle hard." This 2-year-old Pittie mix loves to play and go on adventures. After a long walk exploring the smells of the neighborhood, he settles in, cuddling up so you know that he's there. Some will even call this 70-pounder a bit of a bed hog, but it's all in good spirit.

This fantastic beast is completely housebroken; his "tell" is to get antsy and not settle down until he is out the door. When it comes to his crate, Bayside takes a few minutes to settle in (and will follow a tasty snack in with absolutely no problem) but once settled he does well, sleeping in it during the day.

Speaking of tasty snacks, Bayside LOVES bones and peanut butter filled Kongs. He will eat a bully stick in 5 seconds flat and likes to make a game out of chewing the "tough chew" bones in under 10 minutes. He's also a big fan of Pupperoni treats and Beggin' Strips — he’s SUPER treat-motivated and will do just about anything for a smelly treat! He is a quick learner, and already knows sit, leave it, lay down, touch, and shake.

Bayside is fantastic on walks; he typically walks with loose leash but does want to be friends with everyone he meets on walks, canine or human. He’ll need a little more training on proper greetings. As far as the car is concerned, Bayside would rather not. He loves getting into the car but when you start moving, he'll start crying and barking, so this might be a great time for the aforementioned tasty snacks.

Bayside has considerable energy and would love an active owner who will take him to dog parks, on long walks, or for lots of outdoor play. A fenced yard would be great. He’s a barker, so a single family home is probably best.

Let’s be honest, he’s hyper. The perfect family will be understanding of his high-energy and be able to work with him on his manners around new people as well as some of his barking tendencies. In return, they’ll get a devoted friend filled with love and enthusiasm.
