Bay's Story

Bay here, reporting for snuggle duty. I may only be a year old, but I’ve already mastered the art of being a 40-pound house-hippo—the kind who wiggles her whole body when she’s happy and melts into you the moment you sit down. I’m as sweet as I am cute, or so the humans keep saying, and honestly, I think they’re right. Life is just better when I’m close to my people, whether I’m showing off my silly zoomies or curling up for a quiet moment of affection.

I love to play, explore, and follow you from room to room like the loyal little shadow I am. I’m still young, so everything feels exciting and new, and I greet each day with the kind of enthusiasm only a pup can pull off. What I’m really hoping for is a home where I can be the center of attention—no cats or small animals, please. I don’t mean any harm; I just get a little too interested in them.

People at the shelter rave how well I walk and travel in a car. In fact, several volunteers LOVE to take me for car rides and/or walks because I am that PERFECT. The shelter stresses me out and I enjoy my "field trips". I sure would be grateful if you would adopt me and take me away from the shelter FOREVER. I promise you + me = dream team.

If you’re looking for a goofy, loving companion who will brighten your days and fill your home with warmth, I think we might be a perfect match. Come meet me, get to know me, and see if I’m the sweet gal you’ve been waiting for. I’ll be right here practicing my best "pick me" smile.

All my love,
Bay xxxx

Adoption Requirements: - Adopter must be 18 years of age or older. - For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets. - Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $450. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand. If you have any questions about our adoptable pets, please call (913) 831-7722 or email adoptions@greatplainsspca.org.
