Baxter is ready to start his new life with just 3 legs! We rescued him several weeks ago, but he started his journey back on 11/1/23 & we've been waiting for him to be 100% and he's 110% today as he ran laps around his people! He's also fine with stairs, although we only have 3 for him.
He was found by animal control with a very painful leg. So unfortunately no one knew for sure what was had happened to him but everyone devised a plan and amputation was determine to be his best bet at 100% success. So he's just glad it's gone and he can live the rest of his life pain-free, happy and who doesn't love a 3 legged dog?
He is approx. 4-5 years old, 53 lbs., (so hes kind of a petite guy) housebroken, lease trained and crate trained too. He is SO friendly and a very quiet dog that rarely barks. His photo shoot was not an easy task because he just wants to give kisses and cuddle up to you whenever he can. He likes to sleep curled up in a little ball. He's also great with kids and other animals.
He is heartworm negative, neutered, had his back right leg amputated, is up to date on all of his vaccinations for the year, microchipped, on monthly heartworm and flea prevention and has been dewormed many times.
