Baxter's Story

Baxter is a four year old happy boy who did not have a good start to his life. He was left outside on a tie out that ended up being embedded in his neck. Lucky for him he was found and received the care he needed and is not looking back at that life. He loves everyone he meets and is very food motivated which will come in handy for his training needs. He is happy to learn and be part of everything you are doing. He could possibly live with a female four legged companion after a meet in greet.

CHAAMP follows the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB). They recommend that only reward-based training methods should be used for dog training, including the treatment of behavior problems. https://avsab.org/resources/position-statements/ We are a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild. https://petprofessionalguild.com/ There are many ways to train your dog. Yet the only one that results in a healthier, emotionally stronger relationship between you and your pet is through rewards-based training (communication). Training is supposed to be fun for you and your dog. Rescue dogs need to build their confidence and you can help them. We want our furry companion to trust us and know that they have a choice to collaborate with us. Some need time to come out of their shell and process their feelings. They will appreciate that you are considering their feelings! Soon they learn good things happen when he/she collaborates with you.
