Meet Adoptable BASI. Basi is an AKC Chech/Hungarian GSD and was worked, in her younger years, to be trained in Schutzhund. Schutzhund, currently known competitively as IGP and previously as IPO, is a dog sport that tests a dog's tracking, obedience, and protection skills, and evaluates if a dog has the appropriate traits and characteristics of a good working dog. Only the top ranking dogs progress in the program & it was felt that Basi would do best as a basic companion & she is the best at being that!

Basi is extremely gentle, obedient and easy to manage. She knows many commands, some in German, & is truly a delightful girl. Her perfect home would be one where her Human is experienced with the GSD breed. Basi gets along with other dogs with a proper introduction but needs a home without cats. We recommend any children in he home to be at least 10 years old. Basi will make a wonderful companion & is going to be very special to someone! Will you be her special person?

Basi came from a world class linage & is in exceptional health for being almost 9 years old & weighs 64 lbs. Please do not let her age discourage you! She has a lot of life to live! Her lab results are perfect and she has no hip dysplasia or any sign of any other health concerns. You would never know her age unless you look at her records! Basi is spayed, vaccinated, Heartworm negative (on prevention), microchipped, house & crate trained.
