Hi, my name is Barry. I was rescued from a rural shelter and living with a foster family for the past two months. In that time my foster family has learned many good things about me. My age is approximately two years old. When rescued I was very thin, however, I am gaining weight, and my coat is soft and luxurious. During the day I am mostly outside in a fenced yard playing with two other huskies. I should mention that I like being the leader of the pack, but I am learning to wait my turn. My foster family is working on basic obedience skills, and I have learned sit, down, come, and sometimes I know stay. My house manners are very good. I am crate trained and have not had any accidents in the house. At night I enjoy quietly sleeping on my bed. I am learning what fun toys can be and I like playing with a ball. Leash walking is an awesome activity. My foster family is working with me though as I like to pull and get excited. Maybe I have dreams of trying out for a sled dog team. With patience I can learn to walk nicely on a leash. Riding in a vehicle is fun and I do enjoy going places to see new things.
