Barron 3515's Story
2/7/26 Meet BARRON! This handsome 5-year-old is looking for his forever family. He came to Melbourne Shelter after being hit by a car, and his owner sadly couldn’t afford his treatment. Thankfully, his X-rays showed no fractures, and he’s now all healed up, safe with us, and ready to find his person.

Barron’s a calm boy who waits patiently for his turn to go out. He enjoys his walks with volunteers and loves spending time playing in the pool. He seems pretty non-reactive around other dogs, though we haven’t done a proper dog test with him yet.

We don’t have any history of him with children or cats, so we won’t be placing him in a home with either. Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
Foster Application Adoption Application
