Barkley's Story
***ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS-AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AFTER 8/25

Barkley is a 3-year, 6-month-old French Bulldog weighing 31 pounds. He was owner surrendered when his family was moving and unable to take him along.

Barkley arrived an itchy, scratchy mess, something unfortunately common with Frenchies. He has received a medicated bath, and we are working on getting his skin calmed down and comfortable.

Barkley is an affectionate, fun little guy who enjoys attention and makes some of the best piggy noises around. He tries hard to keep his kennel clean and knows to potty outside. He will need a little patience as he settles in and learns the routine of a new home.

He has done well with other dogs, but he is a Frenchie and definitely brings that typical Im in charge personality, so meet and greets with resident dogs are recommended. He also did okay during his visit to the cat room. We do not have information about how Barkley does with children.

Barkley has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases, and given monthly flea, tick and heartworm prevention.

Apply to adopt here:
https://orangecountyva.gov/159/Pet-Adoption-Foster-Care-Information
