BARIN's Story

Handsome Barin comes all the way from Azerbaijan, former Soviet Republic, to find his forever family.

Barin is a once in a lifetime guy, our best guess is that he is part Caucasian Sheepdog, part Anatolian Shepherd. He is mellow and chill. He has been tested with kids and done beautifully. Just fine with cats too. (see videos)

Sweet Barin is well socialized with people and dogs, Fortunately he was rescued as a puppy, before anything bad could happen to him on the harsh streets.

Highly intelligent and gentle by nature, he will make someone a wonderful companion who will attract plenty of attention due to his exotic looks and handsome face (and deep soulful eyes). He's a big teddy bear.

Barin has put on some extra weight in the dog yard in the past year due to eating shelter kibble and lack of exercise, so his new owner will need to give him a high quality food and put him on a diet and give him increasing amounts of exercise to get him to his beautiful healthy self he was. It's hard to get proper exercise at the shelter but he is ready to explore and go on walks and adventures!

We prioritize homes where someone is home during the day or most days, or if he has to be alone a few days, where he will have a companion animal to keep him company. Or he can be taken to work as he will just chill by your feet.

Barin is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. 3 years old and 145 lbs. His fee is $800 to help defray his high transportation costs.

To apply for this giant sweet bear, please copy and paste the link https://gwarp.org/adopt/dog/ to fill out an application.
