Banks's Story

Banks is a 10-month-old Lab mix who is basically a giant puppy in a teenage-dog body! He was surrendered because his previous family found themselves a little overwhelmed by just how much puppy he still has left in him. Banks is smart, friendly, playful, and full of energy. He's still working on his house training and is at the age where he needs plenty of supervision, especially when he's left alone. Give him too much freedom and not enough to do, and he may decide that your belongings make excellent chew toys. He's not trying to be naughty—he's just a young, busy dog who hasn't learned all the rules yet! This guy is going to thrive in a home where he can run, play, learn, and get lots of attention and exercise. He would make a great companion for someone who enjoys an active dog and is willing to continue working on his training and manners. Banks has lived with both dogs and cats and did well with them. He has also lived with older children. He's genuinely a friendly guy who seems to enjoy just about everyone he meets. Banks isn't looking for a quiet life of lounging around all day. He's looking for a family who understands that a 10-month-old Lab mix is a LOT of puppy—and who is ready to turn all that energy and intelligence into a wonderful adult dog. If you're looking for a goofy, affectionate, active companion who is ready to learn and grow with you, Banks might be your guy!
