Bane 's Story

Bane has quite the story to tell, and despite his varied story he's an amazing dog! He was found at a park in southern California when he was about 2 years old, and his finder cared for him for 4 years. Then he got out of his yard in early January 2023 and went to a shelter where he got sick and was going to be euthanized if not saved that final day. His owner didn't have the microchip registered to him, so he never knew Bane was at the shelter. We rescued Bane and he went to a foster with young kids, who he did great with, but not after he went with her she lost him (long story, but his fault). Out on the streets of Los Angeles he roamed until he was picked up again.

He went to a new foster in Santa Barbara who has 2 large dogs, and so far he's doing great! He loves other big dogs, and generally he's along for the ride and any adventure you want to take him on. His prior owner did find me, and we talked about reuniting him and Bane, which is how I learned his backstory, but his prior owner isn't in a position to take him back in.

Bane cuddles, he knows "paw", he sits, he's a great dog! He's not good with small dogs or cats - seems to have a good prey drive in that regard. His foster would keep him if she didn't have 2 large dogs already and owned her home.
