I am 9 months old and weigh 20 pounds. I need a new home because I was released by my owner. I am being fostered in St. Charles, MO.<br/><br/>Bandit is my name and stealing hearts is what I do. My foster mom immediately fell in love with my ears. One stands up and one stands down. <br/><br/>When I first arrived I already knew how to use a doggie door but not so much a leash. I am still working on learning how to walk on a leash because I'd rather do what I want when on it. If you dont have a doggie door, I probably need to be potty trained. <br/><br/>I live with 3 kids, the youngest being 5. I let them hug on me anytime they want. Its a good trade off because they pet me. I also like to wake them up in the morning by sniffing and kissing them. My foster mom says I sniff more than other fosters she has had.<br/><br/>There are lots of toys here and I have been very good about not chewing on them but I am interested in them. I get to roam the house freely when no one is home because I have built up trust with my foster parents.<br/><br/>I think all food and treats are mine so I am unhappy when I have to share with my foster sister. I am learning that sharing is caring. I'll have this down soon. In the meantime, we are spread out to eat and get treats and we do great. Any other time I like my foster sister and lay in bed with her at night. I do get startled when I hear movement while I'm sleeping. I will growl and bark but I am harmless. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. There is no fee for submitting an application with us. We are not affiliated with any other organization so we do require our application to be submitted in order to be considered. We prefer applications be completed online, We DO adopt to families with fenced in yards or those that live in apartments/condos. MABTR offers a two-week trial period with each adoption to ensure your new dog is a good fit. You only need to complete one application per household, not per dog of interest. MABTR will do our best to help transport any adopted dog within the 13 states we serve. We do not adopt outside of our service area, no exceptions. It may take us up to four days to process your application as we review applications twice a week.
