I am 9 years , 2 months old (dob 6/26/2017) and weigh 19.3 pounds. I need a new home because my family could no longer care for me. I am being fostered in Kansas City, Kansas.<br/><br/>I am such a happy loving boy. I like to go on walks and be outside with my people. I'm not really into toys but do enjoy having a pal to walk around the yard with. While I am not a youngster I still get around great. I like my naps during the day but will get moving when I hear outside or potty. I am happy to follow you around the house. I've been sleeping with my foster mom and sister in their bed and enjoy that. I have a nice soft fuzzy blanket to lay in and I sleep all night. I can climb up and down stairs.<br/><br/>I love my meals. While I dont have many teeth, I easily eat kibble soaked in water, and canned food. I love soft treats.<br/><br/>I have a very dark black shiny coat with the normal splashes of white. I'm good in a bathtub.<br/><br/>I get along with everyone. I went to the farmers market and I was friendly and allowed pets from kids and adults.<br/><br/>I would rather not be picked up but it is necessary at times. I just stiffen up a bit. I don't care for thunderstorms or loud noises...firecrackers.<br/><br/>I need a loving home where I have soft places to lay, regular meals, and some loving from my people every day. I will be the most loving boy to the person that loves me. I'm fairly quiet and no bother to have around. I would love to be your best friend.<br/><br/>Here's a little more about me:<br/>Housetrained? Yes. With regular outings.<br/>Leash-trained? Yes<br/>Rides well in car? Yes but I shake for a few minutes when we start out.<br/>Good with other dogs? Yes very. <br/>Good with cats? Not yet tested<br/>Good with young children? I am a bit old so probably better with older children or teens<br/>Good with strangers? yes, no problems<br/>Shy or confident? A little shy but not skittish <br/>Barks? Occasionally<br/>Apartment qualified? Yes <br/>Any Special needs or Health Issues? I have only 3 teeth so soft foods and treats. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption.<br/><br/>MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced.
