Bandit's Story
Meet Bandit This adorable little guy is just 1.5 years old and weighs about 20 pounds, with the cutest ears you've ever seen! Bandit is likely a rat terrier mix and the perfect blend of curious explorer, playful pup, and loving cuddlebug.

Bandit absolutely lives for snuggles—he's a true “in-your-face” kind of dog who loves to be touching you or curled up in your lap whenever possible. He'll happily give endless kisses and soak up all the affection you can offer. Once he's comfortable, his fun personality really shines! He gets the zoomies, loves to play, and brings such a joyful, goofy energy to the home.

He has a lot of playful energy and thrives around other dogs who want to interact and play with him. Because of this, Bandit would do best in a home with another playful dog to match his energy and help him feel confident. He can sometimes be a little mouthy during play, so continued guidance will help him channel that excitement.

Bandit must have a fenced-in yard, as he enjoys being outside and it gives him the space he needs to safely explore while continuing to build confidence. He gets panicked on leash. His foster is working with him and he is learning to follow the other dogs on walks, but he is truly happier in a fenced area.

He's currently in a foster home with other dogs and does great—he really blossoms when he has canine companions to engage with. He's also good with cats (though he can be a little playful with them) and is fully housebroken. He is crate trained as well.

Bandit can be a little nervous at first, especially with new people, quick movements, or loud noises. Once he warms up, he is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and devoted. He is truly a “shadow dog” who loves following his person around—he just wants to be close to you.
