Balto's Story

Balto and Tuna Luna are a stunning bonded pair of huskies who are looking for a home where they can stay together and continue their lifelong friendship. Previously adopted, they have returned to the shelter through no fault of their own, and while we're still getting to know them again, their past home shared so many wonderful things about them. Both dogs were described as gentle, well-mannered companions who have never shown any concerning behaviors toward people or other animals. They lived successfully with young children and were known to be patient and playful, with Luna especially soaking up all the affection she can get. Around new people, they may be a little shy at first, but with time and a calm environment, they settle in and quietly coexist. They also do well at the vet and groomer, making them an easy pair to care for.

At home, Balto and Luna are described as fairly relaxed, enjoying long naps but always perking up for walks, meals, or time with their people. Balto tends to be the more confident and expressive one, while Luna happily follows his lead, making them a well-balanced duo. They both enjoy their toys-especially their beloved Kongs-and love car rides where they can take in the world together. While they can pull on leash if something catches their interest, they've done well with the right equipment and guidance. Like many huskies, they may chase small animals outdoors, and Luna has a bit of an adventurous streak, so a secure, supervised setup is important. These two share a close bond, even eating and relaxing side by side, and they thrive when they have each other. If you're looking for a pair of sweet, loyal companions to add warmth (and a little fluff!) to your home, Balto and Tuna Luna might be your perfect match.
