With his striking looks and happy personality, he turns heads wherever he goes... but it's his sweet, friendly nature that really makes him unforgettable.<br/><br/>Balto is a high-energy pup who loves to stay active and would thrive with an adopter who can match his enthusiasm for play, exercise, and adventure. He especially shines around other dogs—he gets along great with them and loves to play, making him an excellent candidate for a home with a canine companion or someone who enjoys social outings like dog parks or playdates.<br/><br/>As you might expect from his breed mix, Balto has plenty of energy to burn and would do best in a home with a secure, fully fenced yard where he can run, explore, and stretch those legs. Balto is also quite the talker! This vocal boy isn't shy about sharing his thoughts, whether he's excited, curious, or just wants to join in on the conversation.<br/><br/>Balto is heartworm positive and undergoing treatment. His future family will need to follow through with his treatment plan and ensure he gets the proper rest and care during recovery. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. <br/><br/>Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.<br/><br/>Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
