Baker's Story

Welcome Baker! Baker is 1 year old and weighs 19 lbs. He’s a super sweet boy and will make a great addition to your family! Even though he is young, Baker is a medium energy dog and will need an active, young dog in his home to play with. He has played nonstop with his foster siblings. Some dogs with a white head are deaf, but Baker’s hearing is great! His white head and black ears just adds to the uniqueness that is Baker. He’s a small guy and easy to carry around, if need be. Baker’s adoption fee is $450 and he is being fostered in OKC.

Boston Terrier and Short Nose Rescue of Oklahoma's Adoption Policy

All Boston Terrier and Short Nose Rescue of Oklahoma dogs are fully vetted at the time of adoption which includes spay/neuter, all vaccines - Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLP - along with heartworm check and the first month of preventative, and a vet check. Adoption fees vary per dog, but generally range from $250 to $750 depending on age and what vetting the dog required. The adoption fee is on a cash basis, is non-refundable, and is due at the time of the adoption. All adoption agreements state that the dog will be returned to the rescue if the adopter can no longer keep the dog for any reason. We highly recommend allowing at least a month for a dog to adjust; oftentimes settling into a new home can take time and lots and lots of patience. Since we are run by a group of volunteers who have full-time jobs as well, the application process can take a little while. On average, applications are processed within a week and include checking veterinary and personal references, background checks, and home visits. Also since we are foster based the dog may be located in Muskogee, Tulsa, or OKC.
