Bailey's Story

Bailey is a sweet senior girl with a tiny body and a huge heart. This gentle little lady may be almost deaf and have limited vision, but she navigates her world with quiet confidence and a wagging tail that rarely stops.

Bailey AKA Hot Potato (hot pah-tay-tah) is the definition of easygoing. She spends her days happily exploring her surroundings, learning the layout of her home, and occasionally stopping to give you the cutest little kiss on your leg as she passes by. She isn’t overly needy or clingy, but she truly enjoys being near her people and finds comfort in their presence.

She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys short strolls, making her a great companion for relaxed outings. Because of her vision and hearing limitations, Bailey will need a home that can keep her safe—ideally one without stairs, or with someone willing to use baby gates to help her navigate safely.

Her ideal home is a calm, quiet space where she can settle in and learn her environment at her own pace. She would do best with someone steady on their feet, as she loves to wander and may occasionally bump into you. While she gets along fine with other dogs, she’s perfectly content doing her own thing and doesn’t rely on a canine companion.

Bailey is mostly house-trained, especially when kept on a consistent routine, and she’s wonderfully low-maintenance overall. She’s also incredibly sweet with people of all ages, though a calmer household (especially with older or gentle children) would suit her best.

Some of Bailey’s most charming traits? After a bath, she gets the most adorable little zoomies—it’s impossible not to smile watching her! Bailey also loves to get under her blankets, and is so toasty when she comes out; hence the nickname Hot Potato!

Bailey has been through a lot, but she remains trusting, loving, and ready to find a forever home where she can feel safe and cherished. If you’re looking for a quiet, kind-hearted companion with a unique and beautiful soul, Bailey might just be your perfect match 🐾

Adoption fee: $300

Apply to adopt here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AGAR/Dog

Questions?
