Bagel Labrador Retriever Mix Joliet, IL

The everything Bagel. Bagel is a sweetheart who will cuddle up with you and give you lots of hugs and kisses. She loves to run in the yard with her brother and go for walks on a leash. She loves being outside and will just sit and watch or sunbathe. She is kennel trained and sleeps through the night. She is mostly house trained but needs reminders. She's very smart and is learning commands like sit, come, and stop. She gets along well with other dogs but will be cautious at first. She may be a little too rambunctious for smaller dogs. She is curious about the cats in the house and wants to play with them but they aren't ready. Bagel is about 4 months old and believed to be a Blue Heeler mix but we can't be sure. Her brother is Q-tip and they love each other so very much. They'd be thrilled to stay together if they could but will likely adjust to being apart.

Adopters must live within a 100-mile radius of Joliet, IL to be considered. The adoption fee is $425 with $100 refundable deposit added. This covers all shots, spay/neutering and microchip.

Our adoption process typically takes from one to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require that the dogs be present at the meeting to make sure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalizing the adoption.

If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for up to 1 year and we will gladly consider your family for another dog.
