Baek Jindo Mix Wells, NV

This handsome boy is in need of a new home due to unforseen family circumstances.

1. Age and weight - Baek is around 5-7 years old, around 55-60 lb. 

2. Spayed/Neutered or not - neutered

3. Vaccination status (rabies, DHLPP etc) - fully up to date on all vaccinations

4. Being wormed/flea/tick treated monthly? - is being treated with a pill for ticks and fleas every 6 months

5. Any medical issues (when did he/she last have a vet check up?)  - The past few months, Baek has had some urinary tract infections, but apart from that, is in good health. 

6. How does he/she behave around men/women/children/strangers/people on the street/other animals - He is good around women, children, and men. He is a little scared of strangers and peopleon teh street but with maybe some introductions and time behaves well. He will come sniff new people for greetings but nothing else. He currently lives with another dog who he is fine with, but does not do well with other dogs, cats, or small animals. 

7. Normal daily routine (food/exercise) - Baek is fed twice a day, with homemade dog food mainly consisting of brown rice, vegetables, and ground turkey. If not the homemade food, then dry kibble and salmon oil with warm water to aid digestion. He walks once a day, usually 45-1 hour walks around the neighborhood, but on occasion can go for distances upwards of 4 miles, and can hike as well. 

8. Indoor or outdoor dog? (or both) - He is an indoor dog. 

9. Level of training (what commands does he/she know/how does he/she walk on leash/reaction to seeing other dogs when on leash) - He knows sit, down, go to your room, and will come when called. When walking, if Baek sees other dogs, he may look at them in interest, but rarely pulls and has never barked. If he walks with an unfamiliar person, he will pull, but with an introduction and some time, he walks loose leash with his current owner. 

10. Any particular likes/dislikes (how is he/she about being handled/petted – any sensitive areas, like ears, feet etc.) - He does not like when people approach him, Baek will come to other people and animals. In general he likes being pet behind or under his head, but not on top. He is a little uncomfortable with his feet being touched but not scared. He is not aggressive at all, only fearful. 

11. How does he/she react to riding in the car/going to the vet/can he/she be lifted - He enjoys car rides very much! Baek will hop right in and does not move around too much in the car, just sits in his seat. When going to the vet, he needs to be walked beforehand or else he will pee out of fear, but he walks alright with the vet tech to the clinic. 

12. Has he/she ever bitten any other animals/people? If so, what was the severity and was medical action needed?- Baek has never bitten a person. He has gone too far in playing at the dog park, but the result was in no way severe and medical action was not needed. 

13. Any separation anxiety issues or other behavioural issues? - No separation anxiety, but extreme fear with loud noises such as poppers or fireworks. 

14. Where did you obtain the dog from and why are you attempting to rehome the dog now? How long have you owned the dog? - We got him from TwoDogFarms in Nevada. We are rehoming him due to unforeseen family issues and the fact that due to these issues we may not be able to give him the love and attention he deserves. We have had him for four years.
