Bacon's Story

Meet Bacon (yes... the name fits the personality) ***NO SMALL DOGS UNDER 40 POUNDS - SHE DOES NOT DO WELL WITH SMALL DOGS******
Bacon is about 2-3 years old and has quite the story. When she was just six months old, our director found her in a ditch with a devastating arm injury - it looked like another dog had tried to rip her arm off. She went through surgery, a lot of bandage changes, and a long recovery... and she handled it like the tough little bulldog she is.
After healing, Bacon went to what we thought was her forever home. Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of her control, she's now back with us and back on the market.
Now let's be honest about Bacon... because she would want us to be.
She is a bulldog, and in true bulldog fashion, she is a little bit... rotten.
Bacon is a 30-lb micro bully with the cutest face, but don't let it fool you - she's got opinions, sass, and a personality that's larger than life. She absolutely picks her people, she's a little dramatic, and yes... she can be funky with tiny dogs smaller than her. We had a trainer evaluate her and it confirmed what we already suspected: Bacon can be a bit insecure, which is where some of that sass comes from.
The good news? She's actively working with a trainer and will continue training in whatever home she goes to so she can keep building confidence and being her best self. And despite her bratty moments, Bacon is truly an amazing dog.
She does great with dogs bigger than her, is fully trained, crate trained, loves going for runs, and when she decides you're her person... she is incredibly sweet and loyal.
Basically: Bacon is a little spicy, a little dramatic, slightly spoiled... but also hilarious, resilient, and very lovable in her own bulldog way. (close enough, right?)
If you appreciate a dog with personality and aren't looking for boring, Bacon might just be your girl.
