Meet Baby Boy ...........located in Houston, TEXAS (transport included in adoption fee!) <br/><br/>German Shepherd / Kangal Mix<br/>Weight: 93 lbs<br/>Estimated birthday: 1/10/2024<br/><br/>Don't let the name fool you, Baby Boy is still a BIG, lovable guy, with a heart full of loyalty and love. He was found alongside his brother, Big Boy, after being dumped in front of our rescue, each wearing a rope around their neck that was chewed through at the very end. Despite his rough start, Baby Boy has shown us nothing but a gentle, sweet spirit and a loving nature.<br/><br/>Now safe, Baby Boy is ready to find the forever home he's always deserved. He's an active boy who enjoys stretching his legs, exploring, and spending time with his people. He may be a little more easygoing than his brother, but he still thrives in a home that can keep him engaged and give him the exercise he needs. Baby Boy was such a doll at our last adoption event where he met lots of people, dogs, and kids and did wonderfully well with them all........even the smaller pets (hamsters, mice, guinea pigs) in cages at the store! Because he was non-reactive and minimally interested in the rodents, we think he'd do well with cats and other small pets :-)<br/><br/>Baby Boy would do best with a family that understands larger breeds and is ready to give him the structure, patience, and love to help him continue to blossom. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.<br/><br/>*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.<br/><br/>*Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption. <br/><br/>*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption. <br/><br/>*All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
