Meet this sweet, velvety hippo of a lady, Babe!

This senior gal is estimated to be around 10 years old and is just under 100 pounds! Babe found herself here at the shelter after her owner was moving and his new living arrangements would not allow a dog as large as her. We have learned that this sweet girl is an absolute gem!

Babe has been here for a little while, as we determined some ongoing skin issues and ear irritation. Anyone interested in this sweet gal will need to be understanding that Babe has chronic skin and ear issues and will likely need ongoing vet check ups and medication to manage her symptoms.

Babe loves her people and has loved everyone she has met while being here at the shelter. She is said to be good with children, however, due to her size and strength we are recommending a home with older children. Babe is an older gal, and she wants to be your one and only! Due to Babes energy level and her size, we are recommending a meet and greet with all family members in order to ensure the best fit. It is unknown how Babe would do with cats, however we can cat test for an approved adopter.
