Meet Avery

Avery had a rough start in life. She came to us in August 2021 when she was at risk at our local shelter for being involved in an incident - Avery was just a puppy at the time (4 months old) and while she was shy it was clear that she just needed training and stability to be able to develop into a healthy and happy dog. She is still timid with new people but now can walk on a leash, and slowly has become more socialized. She does fine in a crate and is housebroken. She would do best in a home with dogs smaller than her and needs a patient adopter willing to continue to work with her on social and life skills and who understands her shyness. She is 22 mo old and is around 65#. She is spayed, micro-chipped, current on vaccines, and had ACL surgery to correct a tear, so is now healthy.
