But one sweet girl had to stay behind... and that was Avalon. She had been stepped on or hit by a car as a young puppy, leaving two of her legs deformed from the trauma. Amputation was once a very real possibility. But with months of ongoing medical care and physical therapy in Mississippi, she built up the strength to finally make the trip to Pennsylvania. TLC has stood by her every step of the way, covering her care and waiting for the day she was strong enough to travel - and that day is finally here! She's the last of the Jersey Shore pups looking for her forever home.<br/><br/>Things To Know about Avalon:<br/><br/><br/> Happy, goofy, full-of-life puppy who hasn't let anything dim her spirit and settled right into her foster home - her foster says she's been the easiest foster they've had!<br/> "The most dog" dog you'll ever meet - classic, happy to see you, tail wagging, ball chasing kind of girl<br/> Gets excited to go on her leash and explore outside but is just as excited to crash into your lap on the couch or play with a toy<br/> HUGE cuddle bug who wants to be as close to you as possible and loves joining you on the couch<br/> Loves toys - chewing on bones, tossing around soft toys and tennis balls, and snoozing on dog beds<br/> Goofy girl who sometimes likes to find her own cozy hideaway spot behind her crate or under furniture<br/> Absolutely loves playtime, especially fetch, and gets the most impressive zoomies you've ever seen<br/> Did great on a 1-mile walk and kept up with her foster siblings - her back leg doesn't slow her down one bit!<br/> LOVES playing in a fenced yard and would thrive in a home where she has space to run and explore<br/> Voluntarily naps in her crate during the day as long as the door stays open, but working on being comfortable with the crate closed during the day <br/> Settles well in her crate at night by chewing a bone, though may cry a little initially before settling down, or goes right to sleep if she's tired<br/> Housebroken<br/> Dog friendly but can be a little territorial around her crate, food, and toys, so she'll need continued guidance on sharing resources - doesn't back down from conflicts but also quick to make up and move on<br/> Cat friendly - has met the foster cat multiple times and has zero interest, just a quick sniff and she moves on<br/> Looking for a loving and committed forever home to provide her with the care and love she deserves<br/><br/><br/>Learn more and apply to adopt at TLCrescuePA.org/adopt<br/><br/>Interested in fostering?
