This is Avalon,
She is approx 4 years and 35 lbs
she was pregnant when we rescued her and a few weeks later she had 4 puppies..and then she put on weight, she is chubby and needs to go on a diet !!
Overall she’s a good dog , but she does not like other dogs to invade her space and get in her face, she has a typical Schnauzer personality , she can be pretty stubborn and obstinate when she wants to, a pretty independent little girl.. loves curling up in a doggie bed and seems to be pretty well house trained, loves people and getting attention !!,
She was really matted when we got her and had to be shaved down, once her coat grows back she’s going to be a beautiful girl, she gets along with the other rescues .. most of the time...but we feel that she would do better as an only dog.

OUR RESCUE POLICY - It is our rescue policy for all our dogs that we require a home with experienced dog owners only and no children under that age of 8 years.

WE REQUIRE AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF VET RECORDS ON YOUR CURRENT OR PAST DOG FOR OUR REVIEW. RECORDS MUST SHOW THE POTENTIAL ADOPTER AS THE OWNER

The total adoption fee of $400 ( and includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper ,canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at
