AVA's Story

Ava is the definition of a Velcro dog — if you’re looking for a best friend who wants to be by your side through everything, she’s your girl. This sweet girl is extremely affectionate and thrives on connection. Whether it’s cuddling on the couch or curling up next to you at night, Ava is happiest when she’s close to her person. She’s also got an adventurous side — hiking buddy approved! Ava loves getting out and exploring, making her a great match for someone who enjoys the outdoors. Ava is currently in foster with a tiny chihuahua who rules the roost and a playful pitadoodle, and she’s been doing well living alongside them — she understands the social dynamics and settles in nicely. Like a lot of deeply loyal dogs, Ava does have some separation anxiety. When left alone, she’ll try to find you (and might help herself to things on the counter while she’s at it ). Because of this, she does best when kenneled if you’re away and will need a home committed to helping her feel safe and secure. Ava is: Mostly housebroken A champion cuddler Food motivated (she’ll happily sample everyone’s snacks if given the chance — yogurt and green tea included ) Best friend material She’ll do best in a home that can give her structure, routine, and lots of love. In return, you’ll get a dog who is endlessly devoted and always ready to be right by your side. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you with her whole heart... Ava is waiting. ??
