AVA's Story

Meet Ava
(Soon to be) Spayed Female
Chihuahua/Papillon Mix
1 Year Old
12 Pounds
Ava is a sweet, affectionate girl with a big personality. She loves meeting new dogs but can be a little shy when meeting new people. She does warm up quickly and will soon becomes a cuddly, loving companion who wants to be apart of everything you are doing.
Ava is very dog-friendly and loves to play, making her a great match for a home with another playful dog. She would also be fine as the only dog provided she gets play time and walks during the day. She gets along very well with children of all ages, but because she is still bouncy and enthusiastic, interactions should be supervised and dog-savvy children would be ideal.
Ava is house-trained, non-destructive, is great in her crate when her people are home and settles nicely for naps during the day. Ava loves her humans deeply and has some big feelings when being left home alone so shell need a patient adopter who can help work through her anxiety and continue helping her build confidence and independence over time. She's still working on her basic obedience skills like sit, stay, and her recall. She is also still learning her manners while walking on leash and keeping her focus on you during training/walks. Car rides are also not Ava's jam so she needs some extra patience while she learns to settle in for the ride.
Ava is truly one of a kind, from her unique colouring to her sassy personality. If your are looking for a playful, loving, cuddly best friend with plenty of character, this little diva might just be your perfect match
